Founded in 2015, Atlas is a group of undergraduate students at Carnegie Mellon University focused on creating
a vehicle capable of navigating itself around Carnegie Mellon's iconic buggy course. Since the project's founding
in the dormitory of an excited freshman, then as a part of the Carnegie Involvement Association, the Atlas Project
has grown into a full-fledged university-funded student organization. We have been at the forefront of the robotic
buggy competition, pushing for its incorporation into the annual Sweepstakes competition held during Carnival.
Post pandemic, we debued our computer vision based architecture with Monaco, the first scratch build of the team.
