Meet our Buggies!
RoboQuasar
The first buggy that Atlas retrofit for autonomous purposes, RoboQuasar was born out of the skeleton of an old Carnegie Involvement Association buggy. She rolled on Racedays 2016 and 2017. She was retired by Raceday 2018 after BabyBuggy was built.
BabyBuggy
BabyBuggy, our autonomous testbed-turned-buggy, rolled manually on Raceday 2018. She is a retrofit baby stroller equipped with LiDAR, encoders, and an IMU. We plan on rolling BabyBuggy this raceday alongside the DuneBuggy.
DuneBuggy
Our newest addition to the fleet of autonomous buggies, the DuneBuggy is a retrofit child-sized electric dune buggy. Complete with encoders, cameras, and a GPS, we are hoping that the DuneBuggy will lead Atlas to complete a fully autonomous roll without crashing on Raceday 2019.
